The Schooner Project
One wall came out. The dining room and kitchen became a single room, and the walnut table the owners had shipped down from Connecticut finally had somewhere to sit.

One wall, and the whole ground floor changed.

The cabinetry is American-made semi-custom in a plain shaker door, painted rather than stained so it can be changed later without replacing anything. Counters are quartz. The glazed upper cabinets were the one indulgence, and they are the thing every visitor comments on.
The owners had moved down from Connecticut and arrived with a table, a set of chairs and a very clear idea of the light they wanted. Most of the work was arranging the room around what they already loved rather than persuading them to start again.
